new and existing clients throughout Southern California. Services provided range from the simple
installation and repair of a home office computer and printer all the way up to the installation
and support of Novell NDS or Windows ADS file servers. Experienced in the configuration of WAN
links through the use of Routers, VPN tunnels, and remote access services. Also experienced in
the support of Microsoft Exchange server, Novell Groupwise, and Internet pop services. Highly
proficient in the installation and repair of category 5/6 LAN cabling. Sample list of clients

Network Engineer
Employment with this organization dealt with the design/implementation of Novell and
Microsoft NT networks throughout Southern California. Networks built were from ground up, and
included the installation and configuration of all server and workstation hardware, installation
of the Network Operating System, migration or recreation of user databases, and the migration of
all client software. Typical Networks built were also configured for Internet access through
either routers or proxy services, configured for local and internet email, remote client access,
and may have also been configured to interface host systems such as UNIX SCO or IBM’s AS400.
Also available to the client was the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of category
5 cabling. Networks range from 5 to 250 users and are both local and wide area. Onsite support
is also provided for all networks built.

Project Engineer
Employment with this organization dealt with the design, implementation and support
of Novell and Microsoft NT networks to a diverse spectrum of businesses throughout Southern
California. While employed with this organization, gained valuable experience assisting large
clients with the migration from a Banyan Vines, Unix, and IBM environment to a Microsoft
environment. Also gained experience by extensively troubleshooting TCPIP WAN connectivity
problems in the Dos, Windows 3.11and windows95/98 environment.
BANCTEC CORPORATION - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON - 2/1993 to 9/1997
Network Operation Specialist III
Contracted by Southern California Edison to provide full system support to a complex
of approximately 400 personal computers. Network administrator of six separate servers. Directly
responsible for the upgrade of all pc’s in the complex/remote locations from Windows 3.x to
Windows95. Upgraded all PC’s in the remote locations from serial communication to Ethernet WAN
communication via TCPIP. Lone Support for all outlying remote offices.
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
Senior Field Support Engineer
Contracted by International Business Machines (IBM) to provide full system support
to the entire Orange County region. Main responsibilities included the diagnose, repair and
configuration of the IBM/Compatible personal computer and associated peripherals communicating
in both the local and wide area networks. Network Administrator of two separate LANs.
INTELOGIC TRACE - ATLANTIC RICHFIELD CORPORATION - 4/1988 to 2/1993
Senior Field Support Engineer
Contracted by International Business Machines (IBM) to provide system support to
Atlantic Richfield Corporation. Responsibilities also included the diagnose and repair of
286,386, and 486 computers with attached peripherals.
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
Field Support Engineer
Contracted by International Business Machines to provide system support to Southern
California Edison. Main responsibilities consisted in the support of PC products and peripheral
from such vendors as IBM, Compaq, Wyse, Dell, AST, and Hewlett Packard. Configured and
maintained DOS based applications such as WordPerfect, Procomm Plus and 3270 host emulation
programs such as E78, IRMA Workstation, FORTE, and PC789. Diagnosed and repaired all type format
printers, printer networks, communication problems with modems and multiplexers. Implemented
field change orders from schematic diagrams to electronic equipment. Diagnosed and repaired
electronic equipment to the component level.
MCM CORPORATION - 3/1992 to 2/1993
Contracted Field Support Engineer
Contracted by MCM Corporation to implement procedures on data communication
equipment as instructed by contracting parties. Typical procedures included the modifications,
upgrade or repair of analog and digital circuits. Diagnosed and repaired data communication
equipment such as Personal Computers/peripherals and medical equipment. Installed and configured
software applications.
ROSEMONT INDUSTRIES - 8/1987 to 04/1988
International Field Support Engineer
Responsibilities dealt with the national support of a computer system developed by
Rosemont Industries that monitored/controlled the movement and measurement of products in a
manufacturing environment. Accounts supported were nationwide and mostly industry related.
National support representative for this organization required extensive travel throughout the
United States.
DATAPOINT CORPORATION - 6/1983 to 2/1986
Customer Engineer
Responsibilities involved the support of DATAPOINT mini-computers. Established
relationships with major accounts providing technical support. Major contributor in the planning
of system upgrades, installations and moves. Directly coordinated remote data communication
additions. Responsible for major accounts such as Security Pacific, Citicorp Corporation,
Trammel Crow Distribution, SEE's Candy and Meryll Lynch.
Research and Development – Engineering Apprentice
Assisted in the development of new products. Responsibilities included the troubleshooting of
prototype electronic equipment. Produced circuits from schematic diagrams composed of discrete
components and insulated wire. Made use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic states
analyzers, DMVs, and associated apparatus. Diagnosed and corrected prototype printed circuit
boards from such flaws as misconstruction, schematic drawing misprints, and human error.
Occasional technical writing of procedures and results.
New Computer Products – Computer Technician
Diagnosed and repaired electronic circuit boards returned from field. Implemented changes to
circuit boards as required, simulated stress conditions on all repaired equipment before
returning to the field.
